Bad News For Mininova Users
![]()
Mininova has long been a go-to search site for p2p downloaders. Those days may be numbered, though. TorrentFreak reports that the site is experimenting with a new filter that automatically removes copyrighted material (almost everything, in other words):
Just a few days before their court appearance, Mininova, the largest BitTorrent site on the Internet, has started to filter content. The site is using a third party content recognition system that will detect and remove torrent files that link to copyright infringing files.
The days of easy downloading of copyrighted content may be numbered. But at least for now, Mininova still works as well as any site out there.
