Macmillan’s Price Fixing Scheme
Macmillan is forcing Amazon to go along with their e-book price fixing scheme. Price fixing is usually illegal in this country, but there are often loopholes and exceptions to laws. I guess calling booksellers ‘agents’ who don’t get to set their own prices and receive a fixed commision is a pretty good one. That doesn’t make it any less sleazy.
