My Zune is Rocking Hard Again
My Zune 30 charged up and booted successfully today. It looks like Microsoft was right about the issue and the fix.
The Zune has been a capable mp3 player, but my next player will likely be flash based. I’d gladly give up some storage for battery life and size — and I may not even have to sacrifice storage, with flash players increasing in size and dropping in cost. In fact, I could add an 8gb MicroSD card to my T-Mobile G1 for under $20 — but the G1 already has serious battery life issues. My son’s new Sansa View is nice and small with a responsive and easy-to-use interface, and it has 8gb on board and a MicroSD expansion slot. And it lets me choose the management software I want, instead of being tied to Microsoft or Apple’s bloatware.
But for now, I’m just glad to have my brown brick back from the dead.
