Who Would Have Thought…

The price increase on some iTunes songs is hurting sales.  Apple (and the record labels) may actually be losing revenue on higher-priced songs.  The self destructive anti-consumer behavior of the record labels continues.

By the way, all MP3 stores have now raised prices on certain tracks — at the request of the labels.  But the cheapest place to shop is the Wal-Mart MP3 Store.  Their tracks max out at $1.24, following their ‘nickel cheaper’ pricing policy.
