Windows 7 and Windows Live Sync

Posted on August 17th, 2009.

The Windows 7 RTM has been running for about a week on my main machine (a fairly new HP laptop), and I finally got around to installing Microsoft’s Live Sync app on it.  It seems to work great so far.  I created a ‘My Work’ folder on my laptop’s ‘D’ partition, then set it to synchronize with the My Work folder on my Asus Eee netbook.  It immediately started copying files from the netbook into the new folder.  This is a great way to keep my important documents and projects available on whatever PC I happen to be on, and I’m glad to see that it works so well with Windows 7.
