Woot Netbok Deal
Woot is selling the Asus EEE 900a today for $169.99 + $5 shipping. That’s the same netbook I have, and a very good price. The 4G SSD makes it almost unusable with the default Linux distro, but other leaner Linux distributions are better (Eeebuntu is my personal favorite). And yes, Windows XP can be installed in less then 4gb, although it’s a tight fit when you start adding much software. There’s an SD card slot for added storage, and the SSD is easily upgradeable. The RAM is also an easy upgrade, and 2gb DDR2 memory sticks are cheap right now.
